Violin by Antoni Ruschil, 2014 ‘L’Albero Fiorito’

Antoni's instruments are quite popular among London musicians and this is a terrific example of his work. This instrument was finished in 2020 after in 2014 when Antoni was working in Florence, Italy. The sound profile is dark, rich and resonant and being an expert sound adjuster himself, the setup is excellent and very comfortable to play on.

Violin by Antoni Ruschil, 2021 “The Horsley”

Antoni Ruschil has been one of our partnered makers since the creation of MyLuthier. His violins, in particular, have been very popular amongst London musicians and we are very pleased to have his latest creation "The Horsley". Antoni describes this violin as his most personal creation to date and it perfectly embodies his aesthetic and sound ideals. It has a precise and crisp sound and warmth throughout its register. The overall character is on the darker side.

Violin by Antoni Ruschil, 2022 "Il Diavolo"

A truly one of a kind instrument by Antoni Ruschil. The back, ribs and neck of “Il Diavolo” are constructed from an extremely rare piece of exhibition quality pyinma burl. There are no other known pieces of the wood found in the world of this size, large enough to construct a violin with. It is also the world’s first violin made with the material. Originating in Southeast Asia, pyinma produces some of the deepest 3D figure of any wood in the world and also has the highest number of bird’s eyes per square inch of any known species. Burls are rare within the species and extremely difficult to obtain. This wood species is not listed in the CITES Appendices or on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species The ribs of the violin have been lined with fine Japanese paper for strength.
