We are seeking a dedicated Workshop Assistant with experience in violin making and restoration to join our team at MyLuthier in London. This role offers flexible hours with the potential for a full-time position. Additionally, we offer an initial paid summer internship in Venice, Italy. SUMMARY

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Involvement in violin making activities and restoration.
  • Collaborate effectively with our team in the workshop and with senior management.
  • Manage day-to-day customer service and coordinating repairs and adjustments within our workshop.
  • Handle customer inquiries and purchases, ensuring excellent customer service and building strong relationships.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment.
  • Track repairs, prepare orders, and communicate efficiently with customers and colleagues.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and report any issues to senior management.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Experience in violin making and restoration is essential.
  • Good basic tool skills and ability to setup a Violin to a high standard.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently with great attention to detail.
  • A passion for music and enthusiasm for working in a creative environment.
  • Ability to take initiative, be flexible, and think creatively.
