A very nice viola, made by Master Luthier Ulf Kloo in his workshop in Béziers, France. This viola is the Op. 63 from 2011 and it is made from the maker’s own model. It was made to facilitate the playing of demanding repertoire, and to have a very expressive voice. The body length is 40,5 cm (16 inches) and the vibrating string length is 27 cm. The maple for the back and sides was cut around 1950. This viola sounds wonderful in all registers and would suit violists of any level. The viola comes certified by the luthier.

My instruments have been exhibited at the Triennale in Cremona 1997 and 2009, at the Royal Academy of Music in London 2004, the Concours Etienne Vatelot in Paris 2011 and Violas 2012 at the Conservatory of Paris. During 2015 I exhibited at the Cuvée Darling Exhibition in Cremona, and at the Amati Exhibition in London, and in 2016 at Musicora in Paris with the ALADFI association. Kloo violins and violas are played in symphony orchestras / opera houses, by several section leaders, as well as by freelance musicians and advanced students.

When making, he combines elegance and creativity to make stunning instruments of very high calibre. His instruments sound fantastic, have incredible depth and outstanding projection.
