Stefan-Peter Greiner is one of the most acclaimed contemporary violin makers, known for combining Cremonese tradition with scientific precision. After early studies in music and acoustics, he analysed over 1,000 fine violins, including Stradivari and Guarneri, to understand the secrets of their sound.
Greiner’s instruments are not copies, but original works of art, defined by clarity, projection and deep expressivity. They are played by leading artists such as Christian Tetzlaff, Kyung Wha Chung, Leonidas Kavakos, and members of top international quartets, and are prized by collectors and foundations worldwide.
With workshops in London and Zurich, Greiner stands at the very top of contemporary violin making.
